Ordered the Achari Chicken Tikka through SMYRNA and thought it was absolutely delicious! I'm not a regular Indian eater, but it was great for a newbie like me!
We ordered vegetarian food to home. The food is not that great. It was just okay kind. Naan was good though. Malai kofta is good but the kadhai paneer was below average.
The food tastes good. I found the dessert very tasty, you should try it.
The best Indian restaurant in Ulm, is easy to recommend. Nice staff and great food.
Rude and unfriendly staff!
The staff either had the mask under their chin or under their nose. I feel uncomfortable and not safe there. It was also quite warm in the restaurant and there was no airing. The food was delicious and well presented. We had to wait a long time for payment.
Was here for the first time today and it was also my first time Indian. First of all, the ambience: beautiful furnishings and decoration! The service was friendly. Unfortunately the waiting time was not appropriate for the few visitors on a Tuesday evening. Now to eat: Since I had never eaten Indian before, I unfortunately cannot compare the food. In terms of taste, everything was very good from the chicken starter to the beef main course. I also drank the Indian chai ter who convinced me as a tea drinker for many years. Rice could be reordered in unlimited quantities with the main course. I can therefore recommend the Nordic beef. Conclusion: The service could be faster, but the staff are competent and friendly. I have nothing wrong with the food. All in all a great evening. Is to be recommended!
The food itself was good, nothing was too spicy, ... could have been spicier because of me. Nice, friendly staff. The meat is extremely tender. However, two points deducted ... long, long wait on Sunday evening - for the food. If we had at least been served promptly with drinks in between ... All in all, we waited almost two full hours, from the arrival to the meal ... that actually doesn't work!
Ordered and serviced online via the restaurant's website. When inquiring by phone it was said that nobody had looked at the orders. What do we learn from this: never order online here! Addendum: second attempt: telephone order. Friendly and without any problems. Good food too. So far, only online ordering is not recommended.
Today they were a bit overwhelmed because almost all tables were occupied. Starters were forgotten and ordering drinks was a little test of patience. Other guests were also a little annoyed about long waiting times. We refused a table right next to other guests because they didn't keep a 150cm safety distance there. Some guests sat back to back and right next to each other. Strangely, they didn't want our personal details because of Corona. It may be that this restaurant was excluded from it. The food was delicious and the staff friendly.
Reserved shortly beforehand, which also worked. We had to wait forever for the drinks and the food never arrived because we had to leave. After 1.5 hours of waiting, we were said to be outrageous and unfriendly. Despite the long waiting time, there was no concession from the restaurant. Corona data collection is also a foreign word here. No thank you!
The food is really good. The 3 star rating is due to the delivery service. We ordered Saturday evening and despite the indicated delivery time of 60 minutes, we waited 2.5 hours. Not really acceptable despite Saturday rush hour. The food was therefore only lukewarm. I would recommend either eating in the restaurant or picking it up.
Enormously long waiting times. Quality was OK.
We liked it very much. We are, and we were not here for the last time
Once saved me on Christmas Eve :) Friendly, delicious and good opening times! makes it extra hot or mild on request. again and again :)
Very tasty and affordable Indian food.
Wonderful food, very friendly and (despite the full restaurant) courteous service. We were eating at rush hour and had to wait a little longer for our food. No negative point, that's to be expected. We used the time to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere and suitable music. While we were waiting for our food, drinks were carefully supplied: spicy teas, sweet lassis and an excellent tomato soup as a starter shortened our time. The main meals were plentiful and aromatic. A successful meal, highly recommended. (Bring a little patience at rush hour.) Just enjoy a nice evening in an Indian atmosphere.
Very tasty Indian food. In my opinion the best in Ulm. Lunch with a large selection and servings. Could go a little faster, so order in advance at lunchtime if you are short of time.
Calm and warm atmosphere, nice staff, and delicious Indian Food (definitely try the Paneer!). Dessert's also great.
Unfortunately the last two visits were unreasonable. 2h waiting time, half of it was missing, no corona data collection, the food had been standing for ages and was served carelessly. It's really a shame, we liked going there before that because the food is actually really delicious ... we won't be going there again.
Unfortunately disappointed! Had to wait almost 2 hours for our food, unfortunately the food wasn't warm either. It was also not really appealing when served.
So far I really enjoyed going there for lunch, but was really disappointed yesterday. Had dinner with friends. The waiter I had never seen there before was very rude. He looked to the side while talking to us, billed the food incorrectly and turned every single one of us on. In my opinion, he has a big problem with women and is not allowed to work there. For us it was the last time that we were there to eat.
The food itself really tasted great. I like to eat Indian and of all the Indian restaurants I've been to, I like it best here It would be desirable if the operation were more fluid. 😉 (And we can sit by the window next time) 😛
Good food. Staff service is nice. I really liked the chicken biryani. Although the serving of a couple of drinks like mango lassi could be a bit bigger in size. But taste wise a very nice experience.
The lush statue at the entrance does not make empty promises: here you enter a special restaurant. The window seats in particular create a feeling of palace and the service is friendly and courteous - which also adds to the atmosphere. The food here has never disappointed me, you can see 102 (spicy, spicy, exciting!) And 103, fruity and tender mango lamb. The plates are also recommended and there is also a lot on the menu for vegetarians and vegans. Always beautiful
Great selection of Indian food
Bad
Worst service and worst food, staff us oversmart and the point is that they don't use their smartness to serve people, they are actually their only to make money out of innocent customers... bad experience with the food and service
Average taste, average food.
food is ok, but not smth fantastic. waiters are not pleasant at all.
Sea change in taste after change of owner. Best indian restaurant in Ulm.
The food is good and the waiters are friendly, although communication is tough sometimes since most of them don't know much German. But this makes it more authentic. Imagine you are in India and YOU can't speak their language. The almond-safran-sauce is the best on their menu. I usually get it with lamb. Also order yourself a side if garlic bread (Nan=bread), the best with youghurt. For Indian food this is the place I always go to.
For an Indian restaurant to be in a small time town like Ulm, It is definitely a good place. Decently priced and the food is fine as expected.
The food is extraordinary! Delicious! We had Beef Vindaloo and Mango Lamb, very well done. The only problem is the waiting time. Maybe they had a problem tonight... otherwise 5 stars for the food!
Best Indian restaurant in Ulm
Very bad service
Good Indian food in Ulm
Terrible. Service was dreadful. They don't have enough waiters. We did go on a Saturday evening though.

Wonderful food and great service. I stopped in Ulm on my way to Vienna on my bike. This just made it. Great curry that tasted delicious. Deffo come back
When you come to a foreign country, you miss your country food and the same happened with me. A big thanks to Taj Mahal ULM to remind me the taste and essence of Indian food. Ambience and songs played made it perfect. A must places to visit for Indian cuisine.
The best Indian restaurant in Ulm. The food was amazing and budget friendly. The staff and service was really nice, even allowed me to order few things off the menu. Murg nilgiri and Karahi murg is a must try.
Food are delicious here and the price are moderate. but unfortunately the staff are super slow and in my point of view if you go as none German they don#t serve you very well I don't like this behavior. If you go with a group of German people they will bring appetizer and bring the food very quickly and they are polite but whenever I go without Germans, they behavior change and it is annoying and kind of racism.
Been here for team outing Great place good food almost authentic indian or very close
This visit was better than last one. This time Service was prompt. Even the taste was reasonably Indian. Got something pure vegetarian and tasty. Compared to last time they were more eager to serve authentic indian taste. Last visit an year ago I gave them the feedback that food taste was quite bland. The standard reply was we cater to european taste. But now they have improvised. The ambience is nice, one corner is meant for families with Kids. Good for bigger groups as well. One needs to find a parking place in the vicinity.
The best indian restaurant in Ulm. The food was excellent, the service outstanding and the atmosphere was wonderful. Can highly recommend! Will without a doubt go there again and again.
Delicious food, friendly staff.
